Pear Bread
A delicious blend of pear bread
Ingredients: 1/2 c softened butter 1 c sugar or (sucanat op) 2 eggs 2 c flour or (whole wheat pastry flour op) 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp baking soda 1 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp cinnamon 1/4 c plain yogurt 1 c peeled, chopped pears (may leave peelings on op) 1 tsp vanilla
Directions: In bowl add: Softened butter and sugar cream together. Beat in eggs one at a time.
In bowl add: Sugar, flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon and add to the creamed butter mixture alternating with yogurt. Stir in pears and vanilla.
Pour mixture into buttered 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Bake 325 degrees 1 hour or until done. Makes one loaf.
