Pear Pie

A tasty blend of pineapple and pears in a yummy pie


Ingredients:
1 unbaked 9 inch pie shell
1 T flour

Pie Filling
1 can (9 oz) crushed pineapple in own juice, drained
6 medium firm yet ripe, peeled and thinly sliced pears
1/4 butter
1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 c all-purpose flour unsifted (or whole wheat pastry flour op)


Directions:
Lightly flour bottom of chilled pie shell. Fill shell with alternating layers of pineapple and pears.

In bowl crumble butter, brown sugar and 1/2 c flour. Sprinkle mixture over fruit. Bake in preheated 400 degrees oven 40 minutes or until done. Crust and topping will be golden brown. Serve warm with ice cream or cold.
