Quick, Delicious Pear Butter
Tasty pineapple and pear butter
Ingredients: 4 c grated pears (approx 10 med. Pears) 2 c sugar or (sucanat op) 2 (3 inch) pieces cinnamon 1 (16 oz) can drained crushed pineapple in own juice
Directions: In saucepan add: Pears, sugar or sucanat, and cinnamon. Boil uncovered five minutes frequently stirring. Add drained pineapple, boil 20 minutes longer occasionally stirring.
Fill clean, hot canning jars in butter. Leave 1/4 inch head space. Close jars and process 15 minutes in boiling water bath. Makes 2 pints.
